Meet The Team

Richa Rehan, Physiotherapist

Founder of The Pelvic Experts | Certified Dry Needling Practitioner | Certified Yoga Practitioner | Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Practitioner | Spinal Manipulation Practitioner

Richa Rehan founded Harmony Physiotherapy and The Pelvic Experts in 2010 to fill the many gaps in care for people suffering from pelvic health conditions. As a past national-level basketball player, she understood the negative impact of muscle injuries and pelvic health conditions firsthand.

She saw too many women being told that their symptoms (i.e. bladder leakage, pelvic pain, pain with sex, etc.) were normal or that there was nothing that they could do about them. The only solutions these women were told were to take pain medication, undergo invasive procedures, or just live with it.

Richa made it her mission to educate people about their pelvic health issues, which may be common, but are definitely not normal! She strives to help people make the best decisions about their pelvic health while creating a positive healing experience.

She is a mother, a scholar, and an athlete. As a mother, Richa knows how difficult it can be to prioritize health and fitness. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, running, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their golden retriever.

Richa has completed an array of post-graduate courses in the area of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Functional Dry Needling, Sports Rehabilitation, Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from leading educational institutions around the world. Richa is also a Certified Yoga Practitioner and will often combine the principles of Yoga with Advanced Sports and Pelvic Rehabilitation strategies and best research to bring together the best solutions to help manage pain and injuries.

Richa incorporates her many years of clinical knowledge, advanced skills, and education in the area of Pelvic Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy to help identify even subtle mechanical imbalances and impairments with her patients to help with a faster recovery from injuries and prevent further recurrences.

Richa incorporates cutting-edge research in her clinical practice and strives to combine the best treatment tools to not only provide pain relief from your present condition but also prevent any future injuries.

Richa has also served as an Examiner for the Board Physiotherapy National Licensing Exams and is a Member of the Sports and Women’s Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Richa is rostered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to perform the Controlled acts of Manipulation (Adjustment) of the Spine, Acupuncture, Dry Needling, and performing the Controlled activities involved in providing Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Care. Richa has also co-authored a screening tool for screening Pelvic Health impairments within Outpatient Healthcare settings and is the Co-Director of the DN4MSK Dry Needling Program.
